Breakdown of Management Feeds« Back to Questions List

I'm assuming members have received the email regarding the breakdown of Management Fees, it makes very disturbing reading. I'd be interested to see a breakdown of the line item - Staff Costs and FML Fee - it seems incredible that it is costing more than £6700 per week to administer and clean 25 apartments !! This figure is 35% greater than the Repairs and Maintenance cost which itself is approaching £248,000 a year.

We emailed the new Chairman some 10 days ago to try and get an understanding of the breakdown but as yet, no response. I know everyone is busy so fingers crossed we’ll get a response soon.

I feel the email was intended to demonstrate the ”open and transparent” approach regarding where the Management Fee goes which is very much appreciated, however it’s opened a can of worms and has now re-ignited my irritation regarding the year on year hike of fees and members having no redress, or for that matter, have no option but to pay them. We are talking about over £330,000 for Staff Costs and FML – I’m in the wrong job!

I’d like to see comparisons with other timeshares. Rough estimate of 4 ’person hours’ per unit per week, so 100 hours total. Include employer NI (if any), a bit of pension (very low) and the base cost can’t be more than £11 per hour, so 1100 total. Where does the rest go? I know there is a management team on site, but that much, really?
