Does anyone have any information about our access to the woods from the front corridor? We were there last week, and although there is a gate from the new gravelled corridor, next to Castlerigg, it just leads to a steep bank. (I took some photographs but there doesn’t seem to be any way to post them.) My husband had to help a young lady up the bank, but her partner couldn’t make it and had to go back down the steps into the wood, across the bridge, up the steps on the other side, through the wood, and then walk back down the lane. I do hope some proper steps, with a roped guide rails will be forthcoming, otherwise it really is not safe. Thank you.
