Timescales and Actions« Back to Questions List
There has been lots of vital input and recommendations over the past few months, specifically in relation to the rental and resale issues, it's good to see that this is now being looked at.
In order to manage owners expectations, it would be preferable if actions and timescales could now be incorporated. Without sounding disrespectful to current efforts (and this is not the case, I can assure you), we've only really had thoughts and speculation to what would or would not bring us value, we need to know what the plans are moving forward so that owners feel that things really are moving in the right direction and this isn't just an opportunity to create further delays in taking action.

Thank you, the silence has been deafening. Do we know timescales as my ”shortly” and yours may differ substantially. |
newsletter coming out shortly reports on both marketing and the wall and the woods issue |
The draft report from the AGM is in the documents section of the Owners Group but no sight of anything from a Board Meeting on the 4th June. There is no reference to timescales in the draft regarding rentals and sales (or anything else for that matter) – ”the board planned and review of rentals and sales and that GN was carrying out a review of marketing with our contractors”, it’s a good job we don’t run our businesses on ”planned and review”, we’d never get anywhere . This has got to be the longest review known to man and frankly it’s getting tiresome, we’re being given platitudes and I’m starting to feel quite insulted, if they can’t do it (due to lack of skills or money) – just say so because the Board are losing credibility fast in my view. Maybe when the final version of the minutes are released there will be more detail, or we have sight of actions and timescales from the 4th June Meeting. But it’s OK, we’re all getting new sofas (not that there is anything wrong with ours in Ashness) AND the wall is ”only” 1.6 meters high now and 5.5 meters (the wall in front of Ashness in February 2018 was far closer to the units than 5.5 meters, I’d say it’s ore like 4 meters BUT I’ve not seen the finished wall so more than happy to be corrected on that). Lakeland slate, shade loving plants and lights I’m afraid are a very poor subsitute for the view down the Borrowdale Valley that we had when we bought our property. Julie Edmondson |
