1 Bedroom Property

The four one bedroom cottages at Underscar offer three very different experiences. They all have a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.

There is a separate shower room, which is also the steam room.

The kitchens, with adjacent dining areas, are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils to cater for four people.

2 Bed Property

There are 18 two bedroom cottages at Underscar, three of which are in the Coach House, and the remainder in the upper and lower tiers. In the Coach House there are two very different configurations, and in the main tiers there are two types – differing only in the layout of the kitchen/dining areas.

All have a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and, a twin bedded second bedroom. The combined shower and steam room ensures that all guests have access to facilities, without needing to use the master bedroom ensuite facilities.

The kitchens are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils to cater easily for up to six people, as is the seating in the adjacent dining area. And the spacious lounges have seating for a full complement of six if, and when, required.

3 Bed Properties

Grisedale, Skiddaw and Castlerigg are the three bedroom cottages at Underscar. Each has a master bedroom, with double bed and ensuite facilities, as well as two twin bedded rooms, and an additional large combined shower and steam room for guests. So they provide generous space for six people.

The kitchens are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils to cater easily for up to eight, as is the seating in the adjacent dining areas. The spacious lounges have seating for a full complement of eight if, and when, required.

As usual the lounge, kitchen and dining spaces are on the first floor to get the very best views, while the bedrooms and bathroom and steam room are on the lower floor.

Standard equipment in all cottages

All cottages are equipped with a WiFi SONOS sound system that connects easily to the devices you use everyday to access your music libraries stored on mp3 devices itself or on the Cloud. This SONOS system also enables you to play music in any of the main areas, including the bedrooms.

The fitted furniture in the lounge area houses a smart TV with an apple TV box..

Kitchens are fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils to cater easily for maximum number of cottage occupants and guests. They also come complete with everything you need, from dishwasher and washer/dryer to coffee filter machines and hand-held blender.

Sometimes it rains in the Lake District. And for those days when you get caught out the cabinet clothes dryer in the hall of every cottage will quickly and safely get you outdoor clothing ready for the next day’s walking.

In addition to the ensuite bathroom, all cottages also have a separate shower room for guests. But it’s much more than that. This large extra shower room is also a steam room with, except for the Coach House, underfloor heating.
