AGM Location - stop moving it around?« Back to Questions List
So 2017 AGM had an excellent turnout of owners at Rheged (150? - but the minutes are no longer on the site), London had 79 and the Midlands 34. Surely time to stop this nationwide AGM tour and have an AGM close to the resort you've bought in to. Move the AGM by a week or two within the dates permitted, to be at different calendar weeks, but keep it ah Rheged (or similar), so that arriving / departing owners can take part if they wish.

I don’t particularly have a strong opinion either way on this but attended the Midlands 2019 AGM (my first and only) and I can testify to there being many more than 34 attendees. There appeared to be an admin issue and apparently many more came without them having given prior notice that they would. So the actual numbers may not have been accurately counted. |
I do agree that the AGM so move around the country but also feel that if there is one location which tends to get the better attendance, it would pay to stick with that one. |
I would have thought the Board would take account of the attendance and relative costs. Am I right in thinking that the SE AGM was about 10 times the cost of the Rheged one, with half the attendance. As for the 2019 one, with 34 attendees, surely that suggests that there is no reasonable demand for one in the Midlands. How about putting it to a vote of the members? |
The AGM for 2020 will be at The Rheged Centre on 26th April 2020. |
