An updated version of the planning application and its status can be found here.
The application for the wall by the herb garden cottages has made some progress…
A formal planning application had been submitted which accepted our owners’ preference for a stone finish, but sought permission to erect the wall to a height of 2.16M. The deadline for comments on this was at the end of April.
Since then, we have submitted comments to the planning authority asking for a lower height to protect the light and amenity of the bedroom windows. The Manor team have now submitted a revised application with the garden wall at 1.56M.
We await further decision from the planning authority with interest.
Anyone interested can track its progress on the Lake District National Park Authority website: http://www.lakedistrict.gov.
Application number: 7/2016/2084
In the search criteria enter: Location= Underscar Manor, District= Allerdale, Parish= Underskiddaw.
We will inform affected owners as soon as we know more.
