The Brewery Arts Centre

A fantastic location for the whole family, The Brewery Arts Centre features a variety of activities for you to enjoy.

The Brewery Arts Centre is approximately an hour’s drive from Underscar, which may be a little too far for some, however for a day out in the area it’s definitely worth it. The location received many high reviews both on social media and on Google. The centre is particularly known for its ales and pizza.

“Really nice atmosphere, good selection of beers, great pizza.”

“It sells real ale and the staff are so helpful and happy.”

Alongside great food and drink, you can enjoy a range of shows being performed within the theatre, as well as an art gallery and two cinema screens which feature all the latest releases. The arts centre hosts shows from comedy through to English literature and dance.

The Arts Centre was first open in 1972, once it was converted from a vaux brewery.

“Whitwell, Mark and Co (“The House of Whitwell”) established a wine business on this site in 1757, with cellars said to hold over 40,000 gallons of wine and in 1853, the company built a new ale brewery in the garden of the Georgian town house that still fronts the Brewery on Highgate.” – Brewery Arts Centre

The centre has hosted thousands of performances since it opened, and they continue to do so. The Brewery has also evolved to become one of the most important education centres for the arts in the North West with an extensive programme of arts based learning for youth and adult learners.

A visit to The Brewery Arts Centre is highly recommended.
