Lakeland Motor Museum
We highly recommend Lakeland Motor Museum as a location to visit with family and friends. Whether you’re a ‘petrol head’ or simply looking for somewhere new to explore, the Lakeland Motor Museum won’t disappoint. It’s a bit of drive from Underscar, but if you have the chance, we highly recommend it.
The museum has an expansive collection of over 30,000 exhibits, spanning over 100 years of motoring heritage. It has also introduced a new exhibition which features the Isle of Man TT Races.
Housed in a converted mill in the heart of the Lake District, the museum is minutes from Lake Windermere and offers joint tickets with Windermere Lake Cruises and other local attractions. So you can make the day of it, combining the stunning beauty of Windermere, with this popular attraction.
You may also find it to be much more than just a motorsport museum; they also feature a wide array of other fascinating memorabilia, from old shopping displays to local history. One of the most popular attractions is the Campbell Bluebird exhibit which tells the story of Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell, and their thrill for speed.
A thought provoking and thoroughly enjoyable visitor experience which will entertain the whole family.
